The Franck Muller brand results from an alliance between the eponymous watchmaker and Vartan Sirmakes, at the time a case manufacturer. When it was created in 1991, they decided to devote it mainly to complication watchmaking, Franck Muller's favorite field. An attentive observer and gifted with exceptional watchmaking sense, he soon wishes to establish bridges between traditional watchmaking and the contemporary world.

Today, nearly 36 world firsts and patents are attributed to it. This technical mastery is coupled with an instantly identifiable aesthetic. The large, shaped cases, combined with a flexible, baroque-inspired number font, offer two good examples.
