It is the exploits and adventures of the astronauts of the Apollo 8 mission that inspired the full black ceramic Speedmaster Dark Side of the Moon. Today, it is the constantly changing shadow of the moon that has led to the creation of the Speedmaster Dark Side of the Moon “Black Black”. This all-ceramic and completely black model measuring 44.25 mm has a polished and satin-finished caseband, a matte dial and a matching clasp on a black-coated nylon strap. It is nicknamed “Black Black” because of its blackened applied indexes and its blackened and satin-finished Moonwatch hands, the all dressed in black Super-LumiNova. The traditional counters at 3 and 9 o'clock are also matte black, and the ceramic bezel is accompanied by a lacquered black tachymeter scale. The watch is powered by the OMEGA Co-Axial 9300 caliber.
