In 2005, OMEGA launched its Planet Ocean line, keeping its maritime heritage in mind. Today, the elegant OMEGA Seamaster Planet Ocean 600M Master Chronometer pays homage to the heritage of the OMEGA dive watch. This model features a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal and a blue ceramic dial with Arabic numerals and 'a date window at 6 o'clock. The dial is equipped with a small seconds as well as 60-minute and 12-hour counters for intuitive reading of the running time. The unidirectional rotating diving bezel in blue ceramic, with a Liquidmetal™ diving scale, is mounted on a 45.5mm stainless steel case. The watch is also distinguished by its screw-down caseback with honeycomb design and its stainless steel bracelet closed with a patented extendable folding clasp.The OMEGA Seamaster Planet Ocean 600M Master Chronometer chronograph is water resistant to 600 meters (60 bars / 2000 feet) and equipped with a helium valve. The OMEGA Master Chronometer caliber 9900 located at the heart of this watch is visible through the transparent case back. To obtain Master Chronometer certification, he had to pass eight rigorous tests established by METAS, the Swiss Federal Institute of Metrology.
